Internship Course FAQs:

The course is graded on a S/U basis: S (Satisfactory) = Passing | U (Unsatisfactory) = Not passing. This course does not impact GPA, regardless of the grade received. 

Complete the following form to enroll. The link can only be accessed by students. Enrollment may take a few days to show up on your schedule. 

You must be engaging in a minimum of 30 internship/work hours while enrolled in the course (approximately 5 hours/week).

No. There is no cost associated with this course. 

To earn a satisfactory grade in the course that will appear on your transcript, you must document your internship experience in Eagle Career Network and submit an updated resume.

The course is asynchronous; there are no required class meetings. 

Through taking this class, you will have the opportunity to receive feedback on your resume, learn about Digital Badging opportunities to articulate and showcase your skills, and attend career and recruiting events. You will also be able to showcase your completion of an internship on your transcript, which serves as direct evidence that you completed the internship to an employer.

  • Clear learning objectives related to the student’s professional goals and coursework (think project-based or new learning opportunities – not the exact same routine day in and day out). 
  • Is this experience preparing students for future success? Will the knowledge and skills gained, and the work environment be applicable to future professional opportunities? 
  • Is there a high degree of interaction between the experienced supervisor in the field and the student/employee/intern? 

To log your internship experience in Eagle Career Network, you’ll need to input the following information:

  • Employer
  • Student’s Name and UIN (automatically populated) 
  • Location of Employer (City, State) 
  • Internship Position 
  • Internship Job Duties 
  • How Internship Aligns with Career Goals 
  • Semester Internship will take place (Fall/Spring/Summer) 
  • Attachment – Offer letter, email screenshot from employer, placement/employer record, etc.
