We are looking for an (EI) to support our SWFL office located in Downtown Fort Myers. We are a Ft Myers based civil engineering firm, specializing in the design of transportation infrastructure including bridges, highways, drainage systems, intersection control, and signalization for public and private agencies.

What You’ll Need:
- On track for bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
- E.I. Certificate or plan to obtain E.I. within 1-yr of hire
- Experience with drafting software (MicroStation, OpenRoads/OpenBridge) is a plus.
- An understanding of engineering principles and civil design practices.
- Familiarity or ready to learn MUTCD, AASHTO/Florida Greenbook, TR-55 Hydrology Manual.
- Familiarity or ready to learn engineering analysis software (Mathcad, Macro-Enabled Excel, StormWise, Bentley WaterCAD and StormCAD).
- Ability to review digital drawings, documents, and technical plans on a standard computer screen.
- Ability to work primarily sitting at a desk chair for up to 4-hour stretches.
Responsibilities
- Design and Draft Civil Engineering Transportation Projects under the guidance of Experienced Engineers, but willingness to show initiative and work independently over time.
- Involved in projects that include various Transportation Engineering elements: design of roadways, drainage infrastructure, stormwater management, intersections, and signalization.
- Assist in the analysis and design of various roadway elements: geometric design, drainage analysis and design, utility design and coordination, traffic analysis, intersection control evaluation, and temporary traffic control.
- Assist in the preparation of project quantities and cost estimates.
