We are looking for students interested in the Healthcare field to work in my medical clinic where they will learn various aspects of private practice including checking in patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. This is a busy medical practice and will give the right student the experience she/he needs to pursue a career in healthcare.
The position will start as an intern position where students will learn the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system by shadowing the front office staff and demonstrating proficiency in: check-in, check-out, scheduling, manage phones, fax records, etc.
Students will also shadow our experienced medical assistant and learn how to take vital signs, and enter pertinent patient data, and prepare for and assist with medical procedures.
Students can receive verified intern hours. Depending on student participation, and development of front office and clinical skills, he or she may then be offered part-time employment!
