The role of a Project Engineer at Shipps is to assist the Estimators and Project Managers. Tasks may include but are not limited to: Performing subcontractor and vendor buyouts for projects, performing quantity takeoffs for materials, assembling project books full of job specific project information for foremen and superintendents such as production rates for crews, quantities of materials to be on site, project specific contact list as well as other project specific information. Ultimately this position is to help prepare you to step into either an estimator or project manager role as you progress.
