Meet the Team

Hi everyone!  My name is Pam Zuckerman, and I am the Assistant Director of Career Development Services.  I have worked in higher education in Career and Internship services for over 3 decades to assist students in finding their passion and life’s work.  I have worked with a diverse student body from international students to adult learners, first generation college attendees, and career changers.  

I have counseled and coached students in a variety of majors from business management, advertising, marketing communications and STEM- to the arts including fashion and graphic design, illustration, fine arts, and media. I look forward to working with you on your journey to discover the right career path! 

Hi, I’m Mary and I have a passion for hospitality and event planning. I organize many career events on campus that connects students to employers and resources to help you develop your skills to be successful in beginning your career.

Hi! My name is Jasmin, and I strive to serve as a support and resource for students as they navigate their unique journeys of professional development. I have an undergraduate degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences and a master’s degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education. Planning for your career and future can be intimidating at times, but I’m here to help demystify the process. I look forward to working with you on bridging the gap between where you are and where you want to be!

Hi! My name is Caitlyn Baris and I am dedicated to helping students identify their strengths, passions, and career goals to help them succeed. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a B.S. in Education and a M.S. in College Student Affairs. I would love to help you on your career journey to empower you to reach your professional goals.

Hello, my name is Michael Bennie, and I believe in helping students discover who they are, what they value, and take meaningful steps toward the future they envision. I began my career as a teacher, where I taught social studies, history, English language, and religious studies. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Social Studies, and a Master of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education. At FGCU, I’m committed to turning ideas into impact by supporting students and alumni through purposeful coaching, career exploration, and transforming uncertainty into opportunity for growth and career success.

Hi! My name is Bryn and I look forward to supporting you in your career development journey.

I am a career development professional with a background in the hospitality industry. Prior to transitioning into my role as a career advisor, I worked in a variety of roles within the hospitality industry, including human resources, events, and food and beverage, along with managing teams in spas and recreation departments.

Through experiences in mentoring and training and development, I realized a passion for helping students achieve their career goals, which led me to transition into my current role as a career advisor. I am passionate about helping students tell their stories-whether it’s through developing their professional documents or through practicing storytelling in their interviews.

Hello, I’m Joe, I began my career in Higher Education in Career Services, assisting individual students with Career Exploration, Professional Networking, and Job Search Preparation.  I made a move to the corporate world and spent 12 years in Human Resources (recruiting, staffing, and training/development) for an upscale retailer, a telecommunications company, and a Fortune 500 financial services firm.  The last 20 years of my corporate experience was as a Director of Marketing and Sales, Divisional Vice President of Sales, and National Director of Sales Development.  I return to Higher Education with significant experience and a passion for helping students understand their “brand” and build confidence in understanding and communicating their value to future employers or graduate programs.

Hi, I’m Girkia and I look forward to working with you! As a Peer Career Advisor, I assist students with their resumes to equip them for the job search and give them the confidence needed to land their dream job through career readiness techniques, workshops, and interview attire.
